World Environment Day
World Environment Day on 5th June this year, was celebrated with our volunteers in Maharashtra Nature Park. The volunteers enjoyed the trail with tips on urban gardening and vermin composting.
SOSVA is an organization working for the support and promotion of the entire voluntary sector and provides a wide variety of service to the sector.
SOSVA´s Centre for Promoting Voluntary Action, VOLACT, is a major activity in support of NGOs who are working in various sectors in the social development field. The Volact program is a unique and pioneering attempt to mobilise volunteers in India and to facilitate the process of volunteering.

Volact registers volunteers from all walks of life, matches and places them with voluntary agencies where support is needed. Since it's inception in 1995, VOLACT has placed over 1859 volunteers with nearly 200 NGOs in Mumbai and Pune, in the areas of health, education and empowerment.
